Reducing waste

one plate at a time

The Dish Project is your resource for catered events.

The Dish Project is a student-run waste reduction initiative and official partner of Zero Waste Concordia.

By lending out our inventory of reusable dishes, we make it easy for anyone in Montreal to run a sustainable event.

OUR MISSION

We are committed to making waste justice a greater part of the conversation around social and environmental responsibility.

OUR HISTORY

We started out as a box of dishes in a cupboard at Sustainable Concordia. Today, we operate as an independent resource for zero waste events.

OUR IMPACT

With the help of its users, The Dish Project has diverted approx. 1286.85 kg (or 1.42 tons) of waste from landfill since 2013!

Inventory of Dishes

We keep an inventory of reusable dishes so catered events have an accessible alternative to disposable products

Community Outreach

We educate on issues related to waste through a variety of workshops, events, and informal community engagement activities.
